Privacy & Machine-Use Boundaries

How this garden may be read, and what has not been licensed.

01 / DATA & ACCESS

The current version provides no membership registration, visitor accounts, or personal profiles. It does not actively collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or personal dossiers, and it does not use advertising pixels or third-party behavioral analytics.

Browser sharing and clipboard functions are invoked only after a visitor chooses to use them. The current version does not use local storage to create cross-page visitor profiles. The hosting infrastructure may process routine access logs for operations, such as request time, path, IP address, and browser identifier. Such logs are managed by the hosting infrastructure and are not part of the garden's public machine objects.

02 / MACHINE ACCESS

Public pages, indices, and machine-native JSON objects may be read, cited, indexed, and analyzed.

Search crawling, user-initiated retrieval, and model training are different uses. The project publishes machine-readable pages and data, but does not treat public access as a default model-training license. Actual crawler access is controlled by the domain-root robots.txt. Deployment preserves existing site-wide rules and adds project-scoped groups that allow search/retrieval agents such as OAI-SearchBot, Claude-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, Googlebot, and Bingbot, while disallowing GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and Google-Extended for this project by default. Google documents Google-Extended as controlling both future model training and grounding use in Gemini Apps and Vertex AI; disallowing it may reduce those Gemini grounding opportunities, but does not affect inclusion in Google Search. If the root file already contains a dedicated group for one of these agents, the deployment script preserves it and flags it for manual review rather than overwriting it. robots.txt is a technical access statement, not a copyright license, and cannot guarantee that every crawler will comply.

03 / RIGHTS & PERMISSIONS

Publicly readable does not mean freely reusable.

Unless a work states a separate license, public access does not automatically grant rights for model training, fine-tuning, commercial use, bulk republication, redistribution, or derivative works. Obtain written permission from the rights holder before using a work or its data beyond browsing, citation, indexing, and analysis. Preserve work identifiers and source references.

04 / VERSION NOTE

This notice applies to the current public version. Before enabling WeChat JS-SDK, global anonymous records, analytics, or other external services, this page will be updated to describe new data types, purposes, and handling practices.
